Guy:
I currently use PC Lap Counter operating through the parallel port of my computer. I'd like to use a DS300 system for more inherent reliability, but I'm not sure whether the investment is worth it. I'd like to control the track power with PC Lap Counter, but it seems that I'd need a Phidget interface to do that, according to your information. Currently, I control power to the track through a relay activated by the PC Lap Counter software. If I use the DS lap counter, does that negate my ability to control track power without a Phidget interface, or can I still use the parallel port and PC Lap Counter to control the relay?
I have a Phidget 8/8/8 interface; will that be sufficient to interface with the DS counter if I choose to go that direction? I have a 4-lane track.
