On the Advanced 6 car powerbase interface window, would it be possible to add in addition to the 'start interface' and 'stop interface' buttons, a 3rd button called 'car id mode' where it would release the powerbase for Car ID Programming? I'll be honest, this is where we struggle a little bit for PCLC's use.

Car programming from the software is planned but for your information you don't need to release the powerbase to programm a car, look at this video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=Po5TtpGg5tc

Set Car ID: repeat step 1 to 3 for each car (standard way to set Car ID without the LCD display)
1- Place car on the track
2- Press/hold the ENTER button of the powerbase until green LED Flashes
3- Push the BRAKE button of the hand controller (red & green LED flash)
4- Press the START button of the powerbase to leave the Car ID setting procedure , depending of the race status the power OFF/ON LED lights up (this step is for Pc Lap Counter only).

Guy, that's a useful little hidden feature! I honestly didn't know about that one.

One question though - let's say we need to reprogram the car, and the race is maybe "Paused" from the main control screen. We get on with dealing with the programming, and restart the race - could I just click 'start' from the control screen rather than pressing start on the Powerbase?

thanks

I need to make a test but i think if you click on the start button of Pc Lap Counter it will leave the car programming mode.

PS:
Not really hidden feature, it's mentioned on the C7042 page of www.pclapcounter.be , see here :
