PLC doesn't find the Dongle but Chrono runs...

Hi,

I installed PCL on different computers but the PLC does not detect the dongle (black ones)
I use PC Lab Counting 5.46c.

I have two black dongles. I tested PLC with FW 3.13, 3.12 and 3.10.

I tried it on
- Labtop with Win 7 Pro 32bit - on different USB Ports
- Labtop with Win 10 Home 64bit - on different USB Ports
- PC with Win 11 Pro 64bit - on different Ports.

I use: settings -> options... -> Detection
- Slot.it oXigen
- Setup...

When I klick: "Start Interface" all COMx will be used after another by PLC.
When the right COM-POrt is used one line of Hex is printed in the Debug window.
But then PCL jumped to the next COM-Port.
The Status is yellow and red, but it turns never in green.

When I select the right COM-Port, I didn't get a green light and I can't close the window.
No labs are counted even I select the right COM-Port there.

Chrono runs perfectly with the PC and the laptop... so the driver is working.

Any thoughts, any suggetions?

Hello,

at least one controller must be powered ON, otherwise Pc Lap Counter will not be able to connect to the dongle.

It works with one powered on (sometimes). I often have to restart the computer, plug in the dongle, switch on SCP3 and then start the PLC.
But it doesn't work every time.

And it never works when a car is connected with the SCP3.
By 5 SCP3 with no cars, it doesn't work either.
So it is a bit tricky but I will handle that.

It's a pity that you are taking a break from development. The new protocol (oXigen 4) is more or less the old protocol with a handful of changes. Only a few bits were moved and a few bytes were added.

But I can understand your situation! Enjoy your family and quality time.
