I’m using PcLapCounter v5.46c on a Windows 10 system.
Interfacing of program is via two Phidget 0/16/16, 1012 boards.
Car Detection (Lap & Pit) are via two separate 4 Lane DS Light Bridges.
External “Additional Lights” (Start, Leader etc.) via Phidget’s
Phidget’s can be wired to allow a single LED to be fired from multiple pins, thus using two Outbound pins to control (trigger ON) an LED for different purposes. If either Pin state is High the LED is on, if Both are High the LED is still just on, it is not getting twice the voltage (note: The pin state does not pass current, just acts as a switch), and if both pins are Low the LED is off. However, PCLC will not allow two Outbound events to be configured to the same pin. I understand the “caution” warning is required to avoid inadvertent repeated use but should not limit that use if the Phidget allows it.
