How often Access database is updated?

Hi:

In my work I usually use powerapps from microsoft, and I think it is fairly easy to make an app to get the data from the access database and show important info on a mobile device.

In the help I can read:

"Race data is saved after each segment and also at the race end, if you want to save data at different moment just click on the “Save...” button in the main screen of Pc Lap Counter."

What is a segment?, will the data in the database be updated every lap?

No , it will not update the database every lap but every heat (segment = heat)
