Just discovered that you have implementet support for Phidget RFID readers to change drivers during e.g. a team race.
Before buying some of this hardware just some questions:
1. if used for team race I only need 1 RFID reader correct?
2. is it possible to add other functions to the RFID system?
Here are my thoughts for the RFID:
We have just starting a new endurance race series here in Denmark, and for that race we ask that the drivers divide the driving time in such a way that for a 6 hrs race with 3 drivers on each team, the minimum driving time pr driver is 1,5 hrs. It would be great if the driving time for each driver would be available through PCLC making the control of this VERY easy
Second, i know that the program enables you to choose which car each driver is using - if connecting 4 RFID readers to the pc (on a 4 lane layout) - would it be possible for PCLC to automatically show which driver is usning lane 1, 2, 3 and 4?
+a great addition would be that you can make not only a driver card, but a driver including cartype card - this way a driver could have e.g. 3 different cards for each of his 3 cars, and we would not have to change driver/car in the PCLC program manually, this would all be controlled by the RFID
The second part with specific cards for each car is not VERY important, but would you consider showing information of driving time for each driver when using RFID, would REALLY be a GREAT feature and can imagine that other endurance races could benefit from this information - would also enable the teams to get statistics showing how many laps each driver did, his laptimes etc.
