Delay when asking a PAUSE Empty
PostSubject: Delay when asking a PAUSE   Delay when asking a PAUSE Empty24/4/2009, 06:42

This is a question, not a problem.

When I press PAUSE button, no mater if from the phidget or through the SPACE BAR, the red PAUSE sign that apears at the Zoom windows has a delay is not inmediate.
Watching PCLC main windows, this doesn't happen, and the pause works perfect as soon as I press. The light sign, connected to the phidget work perfect too, it seems that only the PAUSE sign has this delay before it is displayed.

This is a normal delay?. It is not a big issue, I am just asking.

Thank you.
Eduardo.

This is a normal delay, when power goes OFF PCLC wait x sec before stoping detection....the PAUSE picture in the zoom window is displayed when PCLC stop the detection.

Delay when asking a PAUSE Empty

Understood!.

What is this option for?I mean, what is the use of having a diferent value here, why it is not always zero?, I never touch this value, and may be I am missing something that can be useful for me.

Thanks a lot.
Eduardo, still learning how to use this great soft.

Delay when asking a PAUSE Empty

When power goes OFF your cars still run a little bit because of their inertia and therfore the cars could reach the S/F sensor and without the delay PCLC could miss these laps.
So if you set the delay to 0 then you could have missing laps so it's better to set the delay to 1 second.
