| Strange, but if I restart the program, and start the race, everything works fine, when the car pass the sensor, the PC Lap Counter mark the lap. If I touch the windows size, the car pass and two seconds later the lap is counted.
It is not a problem of the computer, It is a Pentium 4 with 1G ram and ... when running PC Lap Counter, no other program is running.
Thanks. Eduardo. | |

More than 20k, a lot more than 20k per car. The race, only have two cars (I have only two lanes). But, even with this pictures, if I don't play with the windows size, I have no problems, even with the picture there. - guy wrote:

Yes, sorry I didn't answer you before, but had no time to go to my track these days. I removed the pictures, and it works fine now. Great !, but ... still I think that this is a bug, because the computer is enough by far to run this program. You need to do something to avoid this problem. Remember I only have two lanes, so ... only two pictures, and the size you are showing the pictures is not the full size, so you are reducing it to show it, I think that you can only keep in memory that small picture, wasting time just when uploading it. If it is not possible or you think that this is is not a big issue to fix, at least you can add some warning when somebody is adding a picture in the cars database or not let the user to add something bigger than 20k. Again, not a big issue, I removed all the pictures, but if you can fix it better. Thanks for your help. Eduardo. | |

| Can you send me the pictures so i can make a test. I don't know exactly the limit but during my test i have see that big pictures make the display to slow and i think it depend on image compression factor and also the powerful of the Pc. Will try to find a solution but I'am afraid that the problem is in the programming language i use (powerbuilder) but maybe they have a patch to solve that. The work around is to resize the pictures with a external program like paintshop, Snagit or other. | |

Yes, but ... not onlyh the display, that is the strange thing, it makes slow the detection, the very weird thing is that the program doesn't miss the detection, it just tells me 2 seconds later!!!??. (the track is 22 meters long, the faster car make a lap in 7.40 the slower 14.00 seconds - guy wrote:

| I try new version of powerbuilder but this not solve the problem, think the only solution is to use little picture ( +/- 20K) | |
