What's new in Pc Lap Counter 5.00

• New graphical interface with menu and toolbar.
  
• The display setting allow you to specify transparency, gradient color and more...
  
• Include all updates of version 4.58
  
• Update for the blinking starting lights feature of version 4.58 (now starting lights blink only during track call).
  
• Update of the scorpuis interface (see below).
  
• Add a option to print the race summary at the end of the race
  
• Add a option to print the race summary at the end of each segment
  
• Ninco Digital : improvement in the decoding of the S/F message
  
• Ninco Digital : PCLC v5 now process the MCU Start/Pause/Restart and abort buttons
  
• Speech feature : add the tags {car} and {transponder}, {car} will be replaced by the car name and {transponder} will be replaced by the transponder id (for RC systems}.
  
• Main screen : no more blackening when clicking on a cell.
  
• Version 5.00 not working on windows 98 !

Version 5.00 will not overwrite your display setting, if you have already installed a previous version of Pc Lap Counter you can load the new skin (go in the menu, select "Settings" / "Display..." and open the "Default_PCLC5_red.PLD" file).
To load the new ZOOM skin, in the menu of the zoom screen select "File" / "Load Skin..." and select the file "Default_PCLC5.ZOO"

Forgot to mention that the language files have been updated to delete all unused sentences but of course some of new sentences of version 5.00 are not translated.

I'll install it tomorrow on our Phidget system for testing!

Avis après un premier test.
Aucun problème de détection. Pc lap marche toujours aussi bien qu'avant.
La nouvelle interface est superbe. très moderne. C'est un peu déroutant au départ, mais je n'ai déjà plus envie de retourner en arrière.
Le DS 200 est bien pris en compte, tout comme la gestion du carburant par zonetrigger pro.
Le mode Zoom est encore plus paramétrable que l'ancien et, est magnifique. Vue que je n'utilise que lui, je suis aux anges.

I have uploaded a update of Pc Lap Counter 5.00, the update just include the msvcr71.dll, atl71.dll and MSVCP71.dll which was missing on some systems.
For people who already have installed PCLC 5.00 without any problem no need to redownload the beta.

Phidgets works just as they used to! 0/16/16's and 0/0/4's. Blink on pause has no effect. Also, any way to have the end of race summary an option to display? Sometimes we just want to restart the race without stats (During track rental periods). Other then that, install was smooth, kept our custom sounds and settings, looks nice! Runs nice! Zoom interface (Direct on port) from machines running older versions (4x something on our display screens), no problems!!!

PS... Now all 6 Lanes in use.... it's not missing a thing, so looks good!

About the race summary at the end of the race, you are the second who ask me to hide this feature and so i will add a option to activate/desactivate this new feature.

About "Blink on pause has no effect"', if your trackcall send the "Power OFF" command then it will blink but if your trackcall send the "pause" command then it will not blink.
When the race is paused you can choice if all countdown lights goes ON or OFF but not blinking.

Pressing spacebar during a race (Ours pauses clock and shuts off lane power) no changes in functions with either set countdown light on or blink. Red light comes on, no countdown lights come on (Either physically or in the messages window)

I uploaded a update of v5.00 :
- add a option to print or not the race summary at the end of the race
- add a option to print or not the race summary at the end of each segment

PCLC v5 tested in ND...

Upload a update of v5.00:
- Starting lights led status is now display near the power ON/OFF button (so even you hide the message box the lights status is displayed).
- Heat editor : add a option "Drivers race one time"
- Language selection and "translation" button of the options screen have been moved in the menu (in the settings menu)
- Fix bug : race start countdown : even without false start there was a delay between the "one" light and the start horn

d'abord félicitations pour ton travail de dévelopement de pc lap tout au long de ces années , c'est assez "enorme" je viens donc de telecharger le beta 5.00 dont les possibilités me semblent assez "balaises" et j'ai un petit pb:
lors d'une course avec segments sur un 4 pistes (avec 2 pilotes ) , pilotes roulent sur toutes les pistes , à la premiere pause inter segments , l'horloge se met en pause ( après le decompte de la pause inter segment ) et la course ne redémarre plus il faut la re-demarrer manuellement soit au d-s 300 , soit sur p-c lap peut-etre y a t-il une case mal cochée dans la config' ?
en tous cas merci de ton aide ...

Loic, c'est un bug dans la version 5...la correction est disponible (suffit de retélarger la version 5).

Hi,

we are just testing this (by the moment ) wonderful software for our small club.
We have noticed two issues that we don't know if they were like that in the previous versions.

We have and analogic SCX track with parallel interface.

1- In a race with fuel management, if you begin your lap with not enough fuel to complete it, and you make a pit stop on the very next lap, the software lets you stop, start and finish the refilling process and you are never alerted that the race is over for you. In the display window you see the usual symbols though your laps are not counted anymore and in the message window you can see messages about you are finished.
We think the End of fuel simbol should appear in order to make clear you are not running anymore.

2- In the statistics windows, all data related to lap speed, are not considering the scale you are using (i.e 1/32) to convert this data to a "real" speed. Shouldn't the speeds be converted as they do in the display window?

Thank you for your report

About point 1, that problem was also in previous version, since today that bug is now fixed (just redownload the beta to have the correction).
About point 2, that you are right: the speed in the statistics board is not converted against your settings, that problem was also in previous version...hope to fix it during this weekend.
