Analogue pit stops Empty
PostSubject: Analogue pit stops   Analogue pit stops Empty30/5/2012, 12:51

Hello I have recently purchased PC Lap Counter, but I am struggling to get the pitstops to work in an analogue format.

I have a 6 lane track with a DS300 Lap Counter with a 6 lane DS Gantry.
I have followed your guide on using parallel port for pit stops but I can't seem to get the pit stop to start.
I presume the input pins to be used are the same as the ones used for lap counting?

Please excuse me if I have missed something obvious.
Thankyou

First thing to do is to check the input pins state with the parallel port monitor , check if the state of the input pins change when a car stay on the sensor.

no the pins data dosn't appear to change when the car stays over the sensor.
But it does register laps

Just to understand your track configuration: to register laps you have your DS300 and a DS bridge but what kind of sensor you use for pit stop , i assume you have connected supplementary sensor to the parallel port of your computer or not ?

that's the problem !

So you have a double lap register ?
If you register the laps by using the DS300 then in the LPT1 interface of Pc Lap Counter you have to tick "Sensor's connected to input pin are used only for pit stop detection" (in the PitStop tabpage)
