Pc Lap Counter searching tru all com ports for dongle

Hi Anders,

That's good news, so it's like something disturb Pc Lap Counter on your private computer and also on the club computer.
On my side i have made all my test with windows 11 Pro version 23H2 build 22631.3007.
I checked the log file and now it contain good data.

Before you try this tips i suggest you to take screenshots of the current settings so you can easily set it back if needed.

Thanks for your advice. I hope I get time for this test this weekend, but we have a major race weekend in the club, this weekend where we actually will use PC Lap Counter

I know for sure that those settings are set English on my work laptop computer, were I tested last time, and were it was working.

It was the change in the language settings, that did the final trick. I have now Pc Lap Counter attached to my Oxigen ver. 4 without any issues as you can see from below screen shoots.

I will get some members from our racing club next together, where we really can test the new beta version of your software together with Oxigen ver. 4.

I have sent you the debug log over e-mail. By the way our race yesterday at the club with Pc Lap Counter went through without any major issues.

I will update you after 14 days regarding the final tests. Sorry for the long time for a response, but I am really busy private and work.

I also tried to change my controller ID back to 20 using slot.it bootlader, and after this change Pc Lap Counter was not able to find the dongle again. It was the same error - searching through the com ports.

Then I set the controller ID back to 4, and then PC Lap Counter was able to find the dongle again without searching through all the com ports.

Is there a limitation with the max number of controller ID in Pc Lap Counter?

Thank you for your feedback.
I made a test with ID 20 and on my side no problem...but after i changed the ID to 20 i had to unplung / plug the dongle.
Also the first time i start Pc Lap Counter on my computer sometime it not recognize the dongle and in that case i unplug/plug the dongle and it's ok.

Here is my feedback for the test at our club here in Denmark.

Use of Pc Lap Counter functions
All our tests has been done using automatic trackcall and fuel usage.

SCP3 controller firmware
All our tests was done with SCP3 controller firmware 4.10a

C chip firmware
All cars we where using had a c chip with chip firmware 4.10a

Slot.it dongle
We where using the blue dongle with Slot.it firmware 4.10.b

ID 20
No problem running with ID 20.

First test
The first test was where we had only one car on the track running 40 laps in one tracke and 40 laps in the second track. Under this test we had no issues with the PC Lap counter software software. There was no issue with connection to the dongle. And no problem with laps not counted. During this test the driver also needed to go to the pit for load of fuel, and there was no problem with that.

The conclusion for this test was that all was working as excepted.

Second test
This test had 4 drivers running race for 10 minutes. No problem with missed laps, refuelling was also working. The only issue we had was, that we got some very low lap times, caused by if your car was falling off the track just after the raceline, so you failed off the track with your car while the lap was counting. But you did not loose the lap.

The conclusion for this test was that it was working.

3th test
This test had 4 drivers running race for 10 minutes. No problem with missed laps, refuelling was also working. Overall conclusion

thank you for your feedback , oXigen 4.0 seem to work very well.
