First sorry for my english Very Happy (I'm form Spain)

Hello I'm a new Pclapcounter user.

I have a cuestion.
I use a DS300
When I press the "GO" button in DS I need to press simultaneus the "start" button in pclapcounter and the timer is not "sincro"

Is posible to star automatic with DS300?

Another cuestion.

In Spain he is usual to do the race happening through all the slots.
And at the end of the last one, to point the segment.
It is possible to do that this in software?

Thanks in advance.

Greetings from Spain

No it's not possible, i think you have to do like BSC (Brussels Scalex Club), set the DS to race for 9999 laps and let Pc Lap Counter do all the rest

No no, lane rotation works fine Very Happy the problem is when you finish the (for example) 6 lanes, you have 175 laps and...... XX (partial)

Usually some riders finish with the same laps and only wins one by the partial "COMA"

How can I add the partial to the totals of laps?

an example in our last race
Automatic start 6_velocidad

Take a look 3 and 4 position

Sorry Very Happy it is not a problem... Very Happy

I try to explain.....

you have a race, 6 lanes 3 minutes per lane. ¿ok?

you make 1 lane and when finish the 3 minutes you move the car in the same position to lane 2. When finish lane 2 move to 3, etc, etc.... when you finish the lane 6, the race are stop, and in the counter you have the total of laps, for example 135 laps but the car is on the 135 laps and.... some track... we have divided the circuit in 9 "parts" when we finish we type in our excel the total of laps and the "parts" 0-9.

Some times 2 or more pilots have the same laps and the final position are resolved by the "part". We name "COMMA"

It is posible, when race is finish to type the part?

Sorry for my english...

Now i understand your questiion Smile
I was thinking about the "update..." button but it's not the solution because you can only add lap and not meter.
So maybe you can force driver to finish their lap when the race is finished, to do that use this option:

Automatic start Finishlap

When the race is finished Pc Lap Counter will let the drivers to end their lap and so the classement will be correct.

PostSubject: 10 base decimal system to resolve tied laps. (0.0 – 0.9).   Automatic start Empty14/7/2009, 20:15

Hi, Gary here, AKA Woodside of OTHG race club in L.A. CA.

We too have requested this feature in the past from PCLC but as we understand it, this change would require a huge undertaking and reprogramming of PCLC. We understand this is most likely not going to happen. But we can wish and hope enough clubs out there will sway this change.

You can skip reading the rest. It’s about how we keep score.

Our club uses a 10 base decimal system to resolve tied lap count by dividing our tracks into 10 sections. i.e. point 0 through point 9 (0.0 – 0.9). In our club we race 3 minute heats and each driver will race each of the 4 lanes on our tracks. When the heat ends the DS-300 or Phidget card controlled by PCLC removes power to the track. The lap count and the tenth of lap is recorded on a excel spread sheet. This is time consuming but it is our method but it works.

This method of the cars to complete their laps is going to be adopted by our club. That method uses time to decide the winner. We use a point system not a time system.

But hay it’s all about having fun and we have a lot of fun. Keeping score is second to having fun. So if we have to spend a little more time recording the score this way that’s okay too.

This link is to our web site. There is a lot of good information there but I am focusing in on our score keeping there. It does not show the conversion of tenth. That is done at race time and the points are recorded on the web site.

OTHG Score Keeping

To give you insight on our point method system as most may know it goes like this. Here is an example:
4 drivers race on each of the 4 lanes. They all finish the race with a lap count of 137 laps.
The winner is decided by the section of track they are on.
Driver 1 = 137.9 – 1st place 20 points.
Driver 2 = 137.5 – 2nd place 18 points.
Driver 3 = 137.0 – 4rd place 15 points.
Driver 4 = 137.5 – 2nd place 18 points.
As you can see Driver 2 and 4 are tied and 3rd place 16 points, is not recorded seeing as it was skipped.

Until this feature is available in this software we will continue to house our score keeping on an Excel spread sheet.

Remember Have Fun. Smile

In this paragraph below it should have read; "is not"

This method of the cars to complete their laps is not going to be adopted by our club. That method uses time to decide the winner. We use a point system not a time system.

Only as a confirmation.
Here in Barcelona, 100% of the analog clubs race using this 'Comma' rules.
Since the races are mostly set by time and not based on laps, this 'comma' rule is used everywhere.

We race usually in Digital in Time based races and also use the 'comma' rule, but it is applied afterwards in our excel sheet.
