Hello,
Here is a explanation of how to setup a drag race in Pc Lap Counter
In the race setting screen:
1. Choice lap limited , Drag race is a lap limited race of 1 lap
2. Specify that you want to setup a drag race, tick the "Drag / Rallye race mode"
3. Call the heat editor by clicking on the "Generate..."
4. Select lanes 1 and/or 2
5. select drivers
6. Tick "drivers race on all lanes"
7. click on the "Generate" button to generate the heats/segments
As you can see Pc Lap Counter generate the different heat so driver will run on each lane.
9. click on the "OK" button
Finish
During the race the "driver classification" report will show you the classification base on the total lap time.
REM: When you use DS Box with Xmas tree: Pc Lap Counter can't control the Xmas tree so in that case it's better to start the race from the DS and set the countdown to zero in Pc Lap Counter (in the race setting screen set countdown to blank)

Guy,
Thank you for taking the time to outline the instructions, got it to work. Sincerely appreciate the info.
Just a quick 2 questions, the MPH is not calculating correctly, way off. my test drag track is 13 feet ( 3.962 meters ) , I change the distance to 3.962 M , then under option or setting, I change the scale to 1/24 , but the MPH reflecting some 500 mph....which is wrong.
Any suggestion what to adjust to get it close ?
for a 1/24 scale going off :
1/4 mile = 1000 feet
1/8 mile = 500 ft
1/16 mile= 10.41 feet
Also , from your example above, how do you calculate reaction time of 4,601 ?
From Drag racing ( reaction time + time down track) = Elapse time
reaction time should be like 0.021 sec, etc.

For drag race and rally race you need two S/F sensor, one sensor for the start line and a second sensor for the end line...and so in Pc Lap Counter the reaction time is this is time elapsed since the start signal and the crossing on the start line sensor. About the MPH and scale 1/24 : i need to check the source code, while waiting what happen when you change the scale 1/1 ?

Understood, regarding the two sensors, yes, using them, I am using a DS 200 , with , xmas tree, start & finish sensor.
I place the scale to 1/1 , meter 3.962 , MPH still off, showing 8.65 MHP, see pic. Also, PC Lap counter only capture the track time, not the reaction time + time down track = ET.
For example : PC Lap showing only 1.014 at (8.65 MHP ). ( see pic )
DS 200 showing( see pic) :
Reaction Time + Time down track = ET
0.31 + 1.014 = 1.324 sec

Ticking/unticking MPH will take effect at the next race.

Yes that's correct, some code review needed here

Okay, will keep an eye out when you can update those codes.
Regarding the MPH, not in agreement, going faster than 8 mph, given the same car ran on a commercial track 1/8 mile, i clocked in at 34 mile per hour....anyway, will see what tweaks you can do.
The Drag racing community appreciate the effort and the steps you outlined above to get this to work...Thanks Again.

OMG ....wait, wait we have instructions on how to set up Drag racing after all these years.
Excellent; I am looking at the application; can you please confirm if this can do Bracket racing; where you can do handicap races with dial-in times so you can race a fast car vs a slower car?
Maybe I overlooked it.
If not available; is it possible to update the application with this functionality in the next upgrade?
By far this is the best and most fun in drag racing; where you can bracket race; where reaction times matter. In my opinion, having an application with just heads-up racing is no fun; where the fastest motor will always win; I don't see any excitement in that vs Bracket racing with dial-in times; and a slower motor has a chance of winning the race.
