Are you french ?
In options screen of Pc Lap Counter and tab page C7042 you can setup the track call to: - Stop the cars (cars will stop and race countdown continue) - Pause the cars (cars will stop and race countdown stop also) - Start yellow flag (will start yellow flag, more information here http://www.pclapcounter.be/pace_car.html)

can you check pause the cars, with use(using) controller in mode :
- Stop the cars (cars will stop and race countdown continue) and
- Pause the cars (cars will stop and race countdown stop also)
time is not stoping !

The countdown stop when the race is limited in time, the countdown don't stop when the race is limited in laps which is normal as the countdown for a laps limited race is just a information and have no impact on the race itself , statistics, etc...
