No sound for start race and all other sounds

Howdy I am having trouble getting my sound to work I have checked the box for sound but there is still no sound
I am not sure if i changed a setting or what the problem is any help would be appreciated.

Where did you install Pc Lap Counter ? on C:\Pc Lap Counter or on another place ?
Some people having problem with sound when their install Pc Lap Counter on another place than c:\Pc Lap Counter.

I just checked and It is installed on C:\PC Lap Counter. The sound worked fine with the demonstration but when I downloaded the program it installed ok but i cannot turn
on the sound. The enable sound is checked.

Did your sound setting is EXACTLY the same like this one below ?

Did you have sound in other program ?
What happen you try to play the sound files of folder c:\Pc Lap Counter\Wav , did you hear the sound ?

Yes when I went to the file c:\Pc Lap Counter I can play the sound and hear the sound

Can you try pc lap counter on another computer ?

That is the only computer I have for my track. Would it be possible to delete the program from my computer and re- install it again.
My other computer is in another room and it is a MAC

I do not think the problem is with my computer, I have Carrera X-Lap program and it is working good.
The start count down works , it announces best lap , car in lead, car low on fuel, and car in the pits,
so for this reason I do not think the problem is with my computer

At this moment i don't know where is the problem, the sound system of Pc Lap Counter work on all of my computers (2 computers with windows 7 and 2 computers with windows 10) and it work also for other users of Pc Lap Counter.

I'am pretty sure the problem is linked to the computer,  maybe something in the properties of the sound card, maybe something with the volume in the mixer, etc...
Pc Lap Counter have a multi channel sound system , maybe X-LAP don't have it.
On my side i will look on the net if can find something which can cause a problem in the multi channel sound system of Pc Lap Counter.

Is it possible to remove the program from my computer and download it again and re-install the program.

Yes you can uninstall Pc Lap Counter via windows and after you have to remove all the files of the folder c:\Pc Lap Counter.
After that you just have to install Pc Lap Counter.

No luck I removed program and reinstalled still no sound.
When I downloaded the first demo the sound was good and now it does not work.
I guess I will just have to take a loss of my payment and try another Race management program.

In this version if there is a error it will display a error message in the message part of Pc Lap Counter, in case of error it should display "Sound error " + the error message ,

The beep come from your computer or from your carrera control unit ?
i will search on what the message "The driver cannot recognize the specified command parameters" mean.

version 5.42d display more information in the error message, can you try it and tell me the complete content of the sound error message.

ok, i think i found something and i would like you try this to test:
- Create a folder C:\PCLC
- Copy the folder c:\Pc Lap Counter\WAV in the folder C:\PCLC
- in the sound options of Pc Lap Counter , for the sound "Start Race" select the wav file c:\PCLC\WAV\Start.wav

When you start the race you should hear the start sound (after the countdown).

I am not good on the computer, Where do you want me to create the folder C:\PCLC
and where do I find the folder C:\Pc Lap Counter\WAV

Let's try another solution:  uninstall Pc Lap Counter 5.42d and re-install Pc Lap Counter 5.42d into the folder C:\PCLC, here is how to do it:

this is getting too complicated all I want is a simple program to manage my home slot car track. I tried your demo and was impressed but as of now I am very frustrated with trying to get this to work properly. I am not good on computers and do not wish to spend all my time trying to make this program work.
I gave the program one more try and the sound is working for now I hope I do not have any more trouble with the program.
