uses for the different race types

Hello all,
First post here! I'm loving the software so far. I have a few newbie questions though since I'm new to slot racing and racing in general. Some of the race setup screens are unfamiliar to me. What are some of the uses for the championship and series sections? Also, why would I want to use the heat editor when the screen you get to the heat editor from allows you to set up (seemingly) the same thing? Can you give me some examples of races set up using these parts of the software? Sorry for the dumb questions and thanks for any help you can give.

Heat editor is used to setup race when you have more driver than your track can support (12 drivers on 4 lanes track).

Thanks Guy! That clears up the Heat editor. Any thoughts on the Series settings? Thanks again.

As soon i have some free time i will explain in detail how series work.
(it's more for analogic track but it can be used also for digital)
